Oh - the other thing about ES brand, in case anyone else is curious: they are very slim in the thighs. My thighs are 17 inches. These fit me perfectly in the thighs, which is great because often jeans are too loose here.

I bet Nicole would look awesome in this brand! I think she and I are built similarly from the waist down.

Thanks so much for the input everyone! I think I'm going to scratch this purchase and keep looking for white jeans. From what you all have said, I think I'll just be disappointed and end up being out shipping both ways! Hopefully, I'll be able to make it to some stores to try some on so I have a better idea of what I'd like.

I'll probably be posting about my search for white jeans in the near future!

PS. Maya, thanks! I miss all of you guys too!

Dani, if COH is too loose in the waist, and you need more room in the hips, try Paige Premium. My daughter has great luck with this brand. Or ping Tanya and ask her what her white jeans are. I can't remember; I tried them during my search and they didn't flatter me - too loose in the hips.

Yes, I have their skinny jeans. They are an amazing color of denim - a deep blue. I would love to have bootcuts in this wash.

They are lower rise than the COH, but somehow, they work on me - and I usually hate low rise jeans. I have problems with lower rises falling right off my hips - but there's something about how they angle from waistband to hip that works. For reference, my hips are 33 inches and my waist is 28 inches; there's only a few inches between belly button and hip bone, and hip bone and widest part of my hip; I am also the buttless wonder. These really look good from the back view - they hug in the right places, which is saying a lot, because for example my COH are looser in the butt (still look cute, they're just looser).

They aren't as stretchy as COH and the denim is thicker. That's a good thing for skinnies worn in winter with boots.

As for white jeans, I don't know if I'd pursue this brand. They are my most form-fitting jeans I own, and I'd be worried that they would be TOO tight for a white jean. For white jeans, I have COH Amber's.... after a long exhaustive search, these were the best.

I don't like the fit of JBrand, so I'm not going to be much help there. There's something too.. long... about them in the hips; they bag around the butt for me, and their pockets are too large making my butt look fat and it's sooo NOT fat. I also just don't like the way they feel on my skin, and many of their styles have orange stitching which I hate. I like the stitching to match the jean. Somehow I find this is more slimming on me. Or maybe I'm just too short for contrast stitching and it overwhelms me?

Oh, I just remembered: The jeans I had didn't have any stretch. They were 100% cotton. All my jeans then were 100% cotton because I always had a problem with stretch jeans bagging out on me, but if they have stretch maybe it won't be a problem.

I had a pair of ES jeans when I was maybe 20 years old. I was very skinny then and normally took a 25 or 26 in jeans. The ES jeans I had were a 27 and were quite snug, and this was when I NEVER had to go up in size. As I gained weight I couldn't even get them over my knees (I'm a true 27 now). I think Laura is probably right. They seem best for a slimmer body.

Hope everything is well Dani. We miss you!

Hmmm, thanks Laura. I'm an hourglass (albeit a straightish one) and the COH work pretty well for me, but they're a little big in the waist. I don't have slim hips by any stretch of the imagination! I was thinking Shiny had them as well. Your answer made perfect sense, thanks!

Decisions, decisions

I'm doing a little better now, thanks!

Shiny wears Earnest Sewn, if I remember correctly.

I tried them (I'm an hourglass) and Earnest Sewn didn't work for me - I'm an hourglass tending toward pear. Shiny (again correct me if I'm wrong) is the same but tends toward inverted triangle, so I'm guessing it's her slimmer hips that make them work so well. COH, however, does work on my body type. Does this help you at all or is it all a bunch of gobbledy gook?

Hope you're doing okay, Dani!

Does anyone have any experience with this brand? How do they run compared to J Brand and COH? I'm looking at some white jeans by Earnest Sewn and I'd have to pay shipping and return shipping so I want to get a little more info before I order.

Thanks!
