I'm so glad they turned out this way. :)</p> <p>@Claire<br />I used dye by Simplicol, it's the most well known brand here that is available in every drugstore. The color was the basic navy blue. I used the whole bottle - looking at the color charts and the recommendations that meant a really dark navy for one pair of pants (if you're pants were white to start with). Besides the dye which you're adding like you would add liquid detergent after the washing mashine has started the cycle you're also adding some kind of toxic powdery stuff beforehand to 'fix' the color to the fabric and some salt to make sure the dye gets even. I did everything like it was explained in the instructions and the color is supposed to be fade-resistant even when you wash it with 90°C (which I would never do anyway).
