Collecting to me is having a collection to develope and curate and wanting to include certain items in it even though I do not necessarily “need” them or want to wear them. I collect scarves and have a very large collection. I buy some scarves even though they are not in colours or patterns which flatter me, just because they are beautiful and I want to have them in my collection. I also have som vintage scarves from the forties and fifties which I do not wear to preserve them. Most of my scarves, though, I actually wear or can wear. Some I don’t wear every year.<br /> I also collect interesting brooches.<br /> Everything else in my wardrobe is not really a part of any particular collection in the same sense as scarves and brooches, although I have a small collection of gloves and quite many bags. These items I buy to use and I don’t want to duplicate them.<br /> The items I do duplicate I duplicate for practical reasons - and as anxious duplication sometimes. I started with the black and they are so great I recently added the gold. I would happily add a third pair if I found a color that I liked.</p> <p>I haven't duplicated them yet, but I adore my canvas Taos so much in the seafoam green I would definitely buy this style in another color if I saw one that worked for me.
