I wear them less now bc I am self conscious of my huge calves but the quality was good, customer service before the sale was great (some models fit different than others so you can ask questions and read reviews). I was conservative with sizing when I ordered and paid a local cobbler to bring them in a bit so that added $80 to my cost (returning or exchanging wasn't an option for me). Expensive overall but fit my huge calves like nothing else would. I have a hard to fit calf - small foot (6.5) and large calf (15.5) but proportionately smaller ankles on a short body (5'4"). I find wide calf boots are too wide in the ankle and look like I'm swimming in them. With my shorter height I like a closer fit. These work beautifully for that purpose. The leather and lining are lovely. I got 2 pairs two winters ago and wear them a lot. Good quality but its the sizing that works for me.
