does it have delicate fittings? If not, I see no reason not to gently machine wash it....but I would be wary of oxygen bleach, as you may end up with white rather than ivory? Perhaps a whites laundry detergent would be gentler?

That's what I'm thinking April. I'm wondering if I should take it to a dry cleaners to have them professionally launder it.

I can't imagine why denim would be dry clean only, but if you're planning to take a chance on washing it, maybe oxygen bleach? Like Oxy-clean?

There is something called bluing or something like that for brightening whites that you can buy in the drug store, I think. Might be worth a try.

:( poor you. If it is denim I don't see why it can't be gentle machine washed....but it's strange it came back from the DC like that?

I have a stretchy ivory jean jacket that I love and is good quality. I've had it a few years and I just got it back from the dry cleaners and it looks sort of dingy, like dirty white. The label says dry clean only. I'm wondering if there is a way to brighten it up? Does anyone have any ideas?
