Thanks everyone for all of these great suggestions.

One of the things that the posts on YLF have reminded me is that my feet are "fussy"--and I WISH that I could just wear those cool looking sandals, heels, etc for longer than a minute. But getting past that, the truth is that I'm not alone with fussy feet and there are a lot of possibilities.

Try the Softwalk brand. Their shoes come with awesome removable insoles.

I have several Naots & also recommend the Barking Dogs website. The Walking Company shoe store carries quite a few brands that have arch support. I have had success with Reiker, Ecco Dansko & Merrells

I feel like the other problem with sizing up for inserts is that my feet look too big. Please post any successes!

Thanks Shevdev...I've noticed sometimes with inserts the shoe doesn't fit right anymore. But worth continuing to try this.

I use an insert and size up 1/2 size. Then I just buy whatever shoe I want. Won't work on the scandals but would with loafers.

Just picked up a pair of Danskos and ordered some Arcopedicos. Hoping that one of these will work.

I am feeling desire at about this issue. I almost posted the same question. I'm going to New York this weekend and am taking black nikes as a backup to black boots.

Looking forward to seeing responses!

I love the Clark's loafers. I have them in just about every color. http://www.amazon.com/Clarks-W.....&ie=U

The Trotter's loafers are also great, but the sizing isn't quite as reliable so you might order a couple pair. http://www.amazon.com/Trotters.....F8&qi

My issues are arthritis and a bone spur, so I need good support through the whole shoe. My arches are ok, but these do have decent arch support. Both shoes come in wide widths.

I found out last year that I have fallen arches. So I must buy either shoes with arch support or a removable insole to put in an insert with arch support.

And I have wider feet, and I like to walk a lot, and I need shoes that work for business casual.

Currently I wear my Naot Sea Mary Janes again and again and again. (And my awesome Born boots when the weather is colder.) But I need to branch out to some new loafers, booties or whatever.

Anyone have suggestions that meet these (ridiculously picky) criteria, or ideas about where to find something like this?

Thank you!
