Tricia, you could most CERTAINLY pull it off! I really like the fitted, shorter style of those shirts.

According to the listings, they're 22 and 21 inches, respectively. I measured from my shoulder down and that length hits at about crotch level on me. I also measured a blouse that I had cut to wear with skirts and it was 17 inches long. So I think these might work? This seller actually does accept returns, so we'll see.

#2 and #3 are cute, but are they long enough for jeans?

Those are so short to wear with jeans!
I think you could do a more "updated 40 style". Vintage must be mixed with modern pieces. I think you could find more modern blouses with a vintage touch.. sorry but those look so dated...

The second one is really cute, but the others look a bit like pajama tops. It's a really cute look for you, though ... very Doris Day and fresh and fun. The sleeves look like they could be very tight in the armpit area and they're all quite short, but if there's room a long camisole like the one in Angie's shop could be nice extending below the hemline. :o)

Oohhh, I like #2 and it seems a bit longer than the others so maybe it might be the right length for jeans/shorts.

I'm not crazy about #1 either, but totally in love with #2 and #3. Not dorky at all!
They seem to be kind of short for jeans though, but perhaps it's because most pants I have are lower rise and I need to expand my horizons:). Although I can see these looking especially fab with walking shorts or skirts.

I have such a soft spot for these type of 50's shirts and you do vintage innately well so I say go for it. I'm not too crazy personally for the 1st one (it seems too blurred between 50's and 80's for me) but the other two sweet. I've seen women wear these types of shirts with "shrunken" cardis and jeans and ballet type flats. How were you thinking of styling them?

ADD: I love a small strand of pearls with these types of shirts; its not everyone's taste but they seem to be made for eachother in my eyes, especially with a cardi.

In my post yesterday about weekend style, people suggested getting blouses that could go with my jeans but stay a little more true to my style. I ordered a 40s-style Trashy Diva blouse, but then I stumbled across an eBay seller with a huge lot of 1950s cotton blouses in my size. I could totally see wearing these in the warm weather with my walk shorts, sort of rockabilly-style, or with jeans, or with a skirt and cardigan now. What do you guys think....would something like this look really dorky or could I pull it off? There are blouses just like this going for twice the price on retro-reproduction sites like Heartbreaker Fashion and Tara Starlet.
