And they spray color onto your hair temporarily- until your next wash. Fun! As several people point out, environment has a big impact— where you live, can you dress “loud” and be accepted or enjoyed, or do you feel ostracized or costume-y? I’m living in Beijing now and nobody bats an eye at crazy outfits. Fishnets, fur, shiny plastic, it’s all good.</p> <p>And as others noted, the pull of “comfy” is strong too. When I work from home I definitely veer more comfy/soft.</p> <p>Though sometimes it’s necessary (for example a funeral), in general I’m trying to avoid dressing for safety or blending in.
