Thank you Thunalata for pointing me to the posts / discussions! I am going to make sure I have fun..I will be on a budget, thanks to the massive loan I'm going to be taking on..but not going to let that stop me!

Angie! Thanks for you reply and I can so imagine all of you gorgeous people and dogs on the lovely campus! I do hope to do a term at Fountainebleu as well! You make a great point about relentless ACs and the need for less formal jackets as well - something that I'd most probably have missed!

Greg went to Insead in Fontainbleau France and it's killer fabulous. I went with him and so did our doggies! We have also been to Singapore many, many times and know the place/climate well.

The weather in Sing is relentless - very hot and humid 24/7. But the a/c is just as relentless so you have to layer. Jackets are an excellent idea for inside.

The MBA's in France were smart casual most of the time - sometimes a little more casual and sometimes a little more business casual. Skirts and dresses are a must. Just make sure that they are not too short. Many MBAs were also fashionable and trendy.

You will go out a lot so make sure that you bring items that you can dress up or down.

You need killer jeans and blouses/shirts it you ask me. Many pairs of great looking walking shoes and layers.

Have a fabulous time and say hi to Insead for me

Here's that link I mentioned.

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....cutive-mba

And could you contact the business school to ask if there's a dress code or what people wear?

Welcome!

Sounds like you're going to have fun. I'm sure someone recently posted something similar and had some really helpful replies. I'll see if I can find the link to get you started. I think people suggested looking at the MOTG posts initially to get you started - I don't know if denim is appropriate or not. You could also have a look at Angie's tips on dressing your body type to decide what sorts of skirts or dresses might suit you best if you need a refresher.

Have fun!

My first post here! I'm a 28 year old, living in India. I am an investment banker, so my dress code has been conservative and formal - mainly shirts and trousers. (No blazers most of the time because its too hot and no skirts or dresses because this is a relatively conservative city). I'm not too big on make up too - again thanks to the weather. So in one word, my dressing is BORING.
I'm 5 feet 7 inches tall, slim, nice figure, so pretty much can wear anything. I start Bschool at INSEAD in Singapore. And this is my chance to have some fun. I also would love to know what's appropriate and of course keeping in mind the weather constrains.
