For a small wedding at a casual resort (McMenamins Grand Lodge for those of you in the PNW) I wanted to funk it up a bit. For the auction I wore it with hose, real pearls, and crystal embellished satin slingbacks. For this weekend's event, I went with steel and costume pearls, and a pair of studded platform sandals sans hose. (Weirdly comfortable shoes for being so high.) Added a burgundy velvet bag I snagged for a song last year at a Black House White Market outlet.</p> <p>Sorry the pictures aren't better, but it should give you an idea:<br /> Pic 1: A picture of the dress I snagged from the web so you can see it better<br /> Pic 2: Moi<br /> Pic 3: The shoes!<br /> Pic 4: The purse</p> <p>It was a lovely intimate wedding, with two friends who are just perfect together. They walked in to Queen's "You're My Best Friend" and walked out to the Star Wars processional. </p> <p>Many thanks to Angie and all of you - I don't think it would have occurred to me to try to dress this down without your wisdom and examples to guide me. </p>
