Krista, did you post any photos from your dress week? I would love to see them! Thanks a lot for your encouraging words about my photos. I'm actually an able photographer with my DSLR, but I find the iPhone/mirror solution so easy to go to that it wins every time over tripod etc. when I only want to document my choices in dressing. I totally agree on the scarf. It is far too heavy for now and will stay on the rack until September or so. A red necklace would look pretty instead :-)

Transcona, Beth Ann and Angie - thanks a lot for the encouragement!

Beautiful dresses! They are so easy to wear when the weather is warm! I think #2 is my favorite, just for it's summery flair!

First of all, I hear you on the photos - I swear it's a special skill set to be able to take a full-length photo of yourself in a mirror that shows your entire outfit and isn't too blurry or dark. You completed the challenge, though - great job!

I gave myself a similar dress challenge to close out the school year back in June. It's a much easier way to dress, don't you think? I like how you styled the wrap dress in #4, but maybe with just a necklace instead of the scarf. Something similar in color to the shoes - like a red necklace? It's like the scarf is too heavy proportion-wise, but you do mention that it was too heavy for summer.

All of the other dresses are lovely! A success overall I would say!

Thank you, FAB ladies! I'll try to layer something over the BR dress when its back from the dry cleaner. Yesterday my cat somehow managed to get chicken fat from our dinner on his paws (he'd tried to rob the dishes, I think) before he entered my lap. Yikes! Dark spots all over the front of my new dress... I hope they are gone by next week, because the dress is dry clean only, and I have only worn it twice.

I love these dresses... and I agree with Lyn D. you could try something over it...

None of the dresses are too dressy and I get you about the rains here in Norway

These are all lovely dresses, and look smart but not too dressy the way you have styled them.
I think I would like to see the BR wrap dress with a cropped topper rather than something underneath?
I like the way you have incorporated the scarfs into your looks!

Great dress collection. I particularly like #5. It looks fresh and relaxed with the scarf draped that way. Your hair loose and wavy looks gorgeous too. Three is really crisp ans 2 has beautiful colors.

I'm in the final stage of my Summer holiday, and I love to wear my dresses as much as possible while the weather and circumstances permits. Going back to work on August 13 means more covering and warmer clothes.

I have a few Summer dresses, and a few that can be used all year. I have challenged myself to wear a new dress every day for a week, beginning Saturday July 28. This is what I've been wearing so far:

Day 1: A black dotted (white, grey, turquoise) wrap dress that has been a favorite for years. Sorry about the footwear, but the rain was so heavy that I had to wear rubber boots!
Day 2: A sleveless sundress with brown and pink as the main colors. I wore brown flat sandals and a brown cardigan with 3/4 sleeves.
Day 3: A beige linen shirt dress, a silk scarf with lime green, rust and beige, nude suede cork wedges.
Day 4: The green BR wrap dress that I also posted about yesterday. I liked the red shoes with it, but the scarf was too warm for Summer.
Day 5: A batik printed silk chiffon dress with a brown cotton slip under. Brown flat sandals, a white linen scarf.

How am I doing so far? Too dressy or not? Any styling suggestions are welcome.

(My photos are no good, but its the only place I have a huge enough mirror. Not enough light I'm afraid. I'll think of a better solution.)

ETA: photos are now hidden to protect my privacy:)
