Then I stopped back in the store and bought the dress. The SA admitted that she liked it so much on me yesterday she decided to try it on too and is going to buy one as well (we have similar body types).&nbsp;</p> <p>Kathie, this question is great: "Would you be fine with a dress that ends up getting minimal wear?" Actually, yes, as long as the price is reasonable (which it is for this one). I find dresses difficult enough to fit that I tend to keep them a long time once I find ones that work, and since I am not an easy fit in dresses, but don't wear them every day, I don't expect to be wearing them constantly. However, I suspect this summer is going to be a very dress-heavy summer because I've found a few this year, and have not bought any new shorts this year, which is unusual.&nbsp;</p> <p>Jeanne, you hit the nail on the head as well when you pointed out that having one romantic item is fun. I think sometimes it's good to step a little outside of our usual wheelhouse if it stretches our style, if it feels right -- an adjacent style, so to speak, rather than something completely opposite of our style. I felt like myself in this dress, but like a little more romantic and flirty version of myself, which is not a bad thing! At the same time, the color scheme with the black background and the amount of décolletage showing help keep it from reading too sweet or twee. The fabric is light and floaty and the skirt moves nicely. Hey, even badass rock'n'roll chicks need to show a little femininity sometimes. In fact, I haven't looked yet, but I'm thinking I may be able to pair this dress with one of my moto jackets in the spring or fall, with ankle boots.
