For myself, I prefer the shorter ‘just below knee’ length and a straighter silhouette vs ankle length and voluminous swish, but I’m 5ftm7in. As a fail safe, I would suggest an asymmetrical hem (left to right or vice versa) vs ‘high low’ (front to back, and less volume (rather than more). You report you wish to replace a ‘knit’ but I don’t know if it is a sweater dress or a jersey. Everythig is either too expensive, too cheap, too long , too short, or wrong colors.&nbsp; </p> <p>I will wear it not dressy, but not too casual, with black tights,and booties&nbsp;or tall boots.</p> <p>Should it be just to the top of tall boots?&nbsp;&nbsp; Would it be more current to just wear it with the tights and not worry if it is shorter, but definitely not mini?&nbsp; </p> <p>Thuis is not easy as you cant hem a sweater dress.&nbsp; Looking like there may be a lot of returning which I hate.&nbsp; Maybe I will hot on the perfect one again.</p> <p></p>
