I'm not sure how well the first would do, the flounce at the sleeves and bottom might be bulky or conflict with the blazer lines... would need to try on I think. The other two look perfect.

Elizabeth, thank you. I researched but wasn't sure if my interpretation was right. I was actually afraid that I would dress too formal because I do like my blazers :)
Are the blouses bellow too much underneath a blazer ?

Congratulations!

A quick search yielded this definition for traditional business wear. It's pretty in line with what I thought it would be. It's certainly what I would wear the first day, and you can go from there... I hope it doesn't mean a lot of shopping for you before you can figure it out! If it does I'd find a neutral skirt, couple of pairs of pants and a couple of jackets. All that mix and match. They are always useful even if the place skews more casual than you think. What you've posted looks perfect.

For Women

A dress pant, skirt, or dress with a non-matching jacket is recommended business traditional attire for women. Depending on the season, jackets may be ¾ length or short sleeve. A crop pant suit (matching or not) is also suitable; however the pant hem should hit mid-calf.

Skirts and dresses should always sit at or just above the knee. A collared blouse or dress-material top is recommended, and should either be tucked in or fall just below your waistline. Tops should never hang below the hem of your suit jacket, or be too short that they show your stomach. Always be cautious that dress shirts are not too revealing in any business setting. Pantyhose are not required, however during the fall and winter seasons darker pantyhose or tights are recommended when wearing skirts.

Dear YLF,

I am happy to say that interview done I got a job offer and will start tomorrow.
Dressing for the interview wasn't difficult but dressing for the first day/ week of work is proving to be more so.
I went trough the HR paperwork and the dress code is business with smart casual Friday.
When I went for the interview I didn't get to see the other employees and as there are several kind of business I am a little worried of overdressing or being more colorful than I should. I also have a lot of print blouses .
What kind of business , business means?
I know we had a thread with business casual if you can point me to it, if that is what business means.
Thank you
