I have worn Talbots curvy bootcut jeans for years -- love them. And if you are looking for other casual pants, I have a couple of pairs of the curvy perfect chinos. Love those too. I have a hard time finding pants that fit, and Talbots curvy generally works for me.

I'm wearing jeans a lot in my new work, Thistle. I am a dressy person, but I feel like I can wear my jackets and nice tops and shoes when I pair them with a nice bootcut, dark wash jeans. The effect is a bit more casual, but still intentional and polished.

I tried James Jeans before and they were so long I could walk on them with my whole foot!

I had bought boot cut, so hemming was not really an easy option.

I snapped up a couple of Talbots jeans when they were running their sale yesterday. I grabbed some Lucky jeans, too, but those aren't getting rave reviews, so we'll see.

I need to do more searching for these other brands. i tried to find Levi Curve ID by me, but no one carries women's in the stores, so I will have to order on line.

Angie, did you know Cookie Johnson seems to be out of business? I've been snapping up my size on eBay when I can find it but even that's slowed down in recent months.

Talbots is a good bet. I used to get a lot of jeans from Loft, but they've gone the skinny and/or distressed direction big time this spring. Chico's has a great cut and fabric for a 'business jean', I believe it's their so slimming slim Jean in dark denim. Also Boden might have something; I can't remember if you fit in their range or not.

If you really feel like splurging, James Jeans's plus sizes are killer good, but run over $100 retail. I've got two pair of the Hunter Z but I got them both secondhand.

I hear you. My office did this a few years ago and recently allowed "fashion" sneakers. The change has been hard and not inexpensive for someone with a well-established business casual work wardrobe! As a woman of "a certain age," I have found a jeans jacket and dresses to work better for me than jeans on the bottom. I have two jeans jackets (blue, white-- both shorter and more tailored) and wear each once a week. I also have a denim shirt I wear with pencil skirts

I suspect more businesses will go this route. As a physician I found my patients related to me better when I was dressed in a more casual manner. Never sloppy, but in jeans and with the rest of my look still retaining a more refined and dressy look than they might adopt. It works well for me. No advice at all about the jeans except I try never to purchase anything with whispering or fading, etc. Sometimes it’s hard to find solid even washes. When I shop with my friends, most of whom need the type of jeans fit you are searching for, we go to Macy’s, Kohl’s, and Talbots. Most of the brands mentioned above can be found at those stores, but maybe not the Levi’s. Every once in a while we find something at JC Penny’s also.

Thistle- we made the same change last year...but we went from not even having casual friday's to a casual business....2 weeks before Memorial Day last year we announced we were "testing" casual dress for the summer, and it was on...i should note that our CEO hates casual dress but the times demanded that if we wanted to recruit and retain talent we needed to change....our dress code formally states no rips, tears or distressing and no shorts....
i'll add that i find it freeing...i can dress up a pair of jeans with a blazer if i want, or wear jeans and a tee, and both are good. last summer i wore casual cotton pants (like Angie's ulility pant) as i find jeans to warm for summer....

It's an interesting change, that's for sure. Most of our customer are already casual, and for a long time, we knew who the customers were int e office as they were the ones in jeans.

Still, it's a change, so we'll see. I've already told my department nothing distressed, no rips, no holes, no fraying. They're at work, not at a club. I have no intention of getting rid of my business casual trousers, and I plan to wear the same dressier tops with the jeans, so we'll see.

I know when I bucked the jeans day Friday trend for a while, the pressure to conform was enough that I went out and bought two pairs of jeans.

Talbots was running a 40% off everything sale today, so it seemed like fate. I snapped up a couple of pairs to try. And maybe a few other things hopped in my cart :)

I am jeans impaired, so no advice from me on that topic.
Interesting move to more casual- it will be equally as interesting to see how soon the memos start flying telling folks they are moving back to more professional wear.
I have seen it happen because people go from “work casual” to ridiculous casual ( read sloppy, dirty) real fast. then there will come a time when higher ups realize the company looks too casual and as a result are not taken seriously in their sphere of influence.
I was in one setting that went more casual- no surprise that those that dressed “more professional casual “ ended up getting promoted faster. But it could have been a coincidence.
Suggest you move to casual slowly and not everyday. Mix it up and always be the best dressed “ professional casual “ at meetings when higher ups are in attendance . Balance between team player and promotable

No jeans advice, but I’ll be interested to hear how this affects your own work wardrobe.
Kind of like Lisa p but different— this could be a freeing opportunity IF you can now pick and choose from amongst more casual and dressier business - casual. So if you find great fitting jeans or you find comfier shoes are allowed, and you can still wear any great black pants outfits or dresses you have or find, then you’ve got more options.

Yes, I think the whole dress code is going to skew really casual based on the questions I'm being asked by my younger staff.

Time are changing. We're in a super tight labor market, and we're willing to do a lot to attract top talent. Including let them wear jeans.
