I wore summer dresses three days last week. But I decided to pull out another one today. This WH/BM dress reads a little dressier than my other casual summer dresses, but still works for my casual life because it is cool and breezy, machine washable, looks acceptable with flat sandals and sneakers (I think — tell me if I’m wrong, but I think these work), and dresses down well with a denim jacket — I like this deconstructed trucker jacket to add some RATE to the pretty cut and floral print of the dress. I love this jacket but found the piping around the collar very stiff and uncomfortable, so I took seam rippers to it and left the edges raw — so much better! And it works fine with the unfinished nature of the jacket. </p> <p>I didn’t photograph the bag I’m carrying today, but it’s my silver Milly tote, which is a total summer workhorse. Silver accessories and shoes are my summer “white.” </p>
