Aww Vildy, thank you! Someone actually mentioned that in the other thread (about dressing/ styling after The Big Chop) - I'm very flattered, haha!

Thanks, Robin! It's difficult to find curly hair products here that aren't too expensive or heavy. I have bought some but they were for my longer hair, so they were more like conditioners rather than waxes or gels to keep short hair in place. It's even harder for me because I'm trying to go natural/ low poo (following the Curly Girl Method of avoiding sulphates, silicones, parabens etc)!

I unfortunately also don't have a credit card out here, so I can't just order stuff from Amazon. Oh well, might just have to buy a truckload of products the next time I'm in the UK, lol!

I think the curliness of my hair is similar to yours. Do you use any product in it? I would recommend a curl enhancing product (I use Tigi Curls Rock) and dry it with a diffuser. Makes a huge difference. When I started letting my hair go curly instead of straightening, it took some practice to get it how I like it. I do think this looks cute on you.

Thanks, ladies - think I might just be more self critical since I'm not used to seeing so much of my face, lol! My hair is naturally curly/ wavy, so maybe I should embrace the softness that it introduces (& balances my chin with).

Your face looks softer and more feminine with the shorter hair ( it isn't really short like a pixie cut would be as it still covers your ears and sides of your face. You might like it best chin length when it is dry, but I suspect that you are still adjusting to such a dramatic change.

What Lisa W. said.

Yes, different features will stand out more with a new cut, but part of it is due to being unused to the change. You may find that different necklines in clothing flatter now, and you may want to wear earrings.

Perhaps you are still getting used to the length and look?

It’s fun, chic, and sophisticated.... and, inspiring!

Help! I finally cut my naturally curly hair from waist length to somewhere between ear & neck length, & it's now more wavy than curly so I don't know how to style it. Not only that, but I'm worried that this cut doesn't look great on my face because of my strong jaw (the hairdresser kept telling me that I have an oval face, but looking at these photos makes me think otherwise...) I'm also a little unsure about how round my cheeks look in other photos.

I don't know how to describe it, but it's almost like I have a long face that SHOULD be oval, but my cheeks make it more round-appearing & the jaw makes it appear more square/ rectangular. This means that I'm at a loss on how I should be styling my new haircut in order to make it look flattering on my face (& in proportion to my body - I'm not skinny enough to pull off the gamine waif look)!

For some reason, I really like the way my hair looks in the last photo, but I can't seem to figure out why. Maybe because it's got a some more volume up top? But wouldn't that just make my face look longer than it already does? Can't quite figure out my own face, lol - help!
