I wear a 6.5 to a 7 US sizes, a 37 European (usually).

For the Docs, Angie suggested I size up to a UK 5, which was the right advice for me. I have two pair. The Marcies fit just great. The Saras are on the large side for me, and in those I could perhaps have worn the UK4, but I was worried about my toe hitting the toebox (they have relatively high heels) for all day wearing. I added an insole to the 5 and they work fine.

My feet are medium width with a narrow heel.

I take a UK 6.5; UK 6 in Docs were uncomfortably small for me so I went with the UK 7 and put an insole in. In the dead of winter there is enough room in them for me to be able to wear 2 pairs of socks or my thick hiking socks. Docs are notoriously tough to break in but I had no problems whatsoever which I would assume is down to them being a half size too big x

I usually wear 7.5/8 US and always get 5 UK in Docs -- seems to work!

I wear a 6/6.5 in US sizing and always size down to a 4 UK in my Docs. I have three pairs now - the Doc Marcie's wedge heel lace up mid calf boot, the Doc Saras black/white heeled oxfords, and the Doc Danielle animal print shoes (exact same shoes as the Saras). All are 4 UK and fit fab.I have medium width feet.

I'm a 5.5 and I consistently wear size 4 UK. I think some styles run narrower than others, and I have wide feet, which is more of a problem than size itself.

I haven't worn Dr. Martens since I was in college but have been looking at a few shoes on their website. They don't have half sizes and use the UK sizing. Should I size up or down? I currently wear size 6(US) in sandals or 6.5 (US) shoes. I'm eyeing a few shoes on Ebay too.
