I walk and take the subway. On the coldest days, this adds extra insulation to the thighs and especially knees (which are usually uncovered in my skirt+boots combo). The Costco one is surprisingly "thin", it's not at all thick like a puffy. More like those micro-ultralight-puff things that pack down into nothing. If anything in down is to protect you, the concept of making a skirt out of it appears somewhat counterproductive, don't you think? I imagine one would wear it with thick, ultrawarm leggings: feet engulfed thick cabin socks peeping out of the top of &nbsp;Sorels or other heavy duty winter footwear, oversize cable knit sweater, down vest or some kind of warm bomber with fur cap. Of course this works well at temperatures between 25-35 degrees, on a dry day.
