Lovely length. I like the BR jacket and I don't mind it buttoned with the striped top, it's like an extension of the peplum. However, if you don't feel comfortable wearing it that way, then certainly wear it with a shorter top similar to #7, which does lengthen the leg line.</p> <p>The LL Bean jackets are great. I might have to buy one for myself!</p> <p>Pruning the garden with temps in the 60s sounds lovely! Your outfit looks very spiffy for gardening. Today combined with double denim.</p> <p>"Old" is BR denim jacket, 2017, with a peplum back (not shown in my photo.) Also kind of old is a pair of Paige Manhattan jeans, not worn much for a couple of years. Angie has this same jacket!</p> <p>For years I followed the advice to avoid double denim. I've probably been doing it anyway at home. In mid-'70s Mr. M bought me a light denim suit, matching light denim jeans and matching jacket with lots of studs. I don't think I have a photo and I mostly just wore the jacket.&nbsp;</p> <p>#1 here's how I started. N+Z top, Paige jeans that kept catching on my Ecco shoes to disrupt the hem.</p> <p>## 2-3 With Liverpool jacket, 2 years old. This seems matronly to me. In #3 you can see my new haircut from the side.</p> <p>&nbsp;##4-5 BR jacket closed and open with my preferred Joe's jeans. These are the lightest blue denim jeans I have, but you Can't see much contrast. The jacket is a bit tight buttoned, (still post holidays) and open. Bracelet length sleeves.</p> <p> Is it ok that the top is longer than the jacket? See earlier version below, #7.</p> <p>#6 At least I tried and learned a few things for another day. What I ended up wearing to go outdoors. Temp in 60's, sunny, and I'm going to go do some pruning and fertilizing. LL Bean quilted sweatshirt--I now have 4 of these in 4 different colors. Perfect for days like today. Oh, had to change to my outdoor Orthofeet sneakers. These are several years old, so demoted for tromping, er, tiptoeing through the tulips.&nbsp;</p> <p>Nobody's going to see me except you and the neighbors walking their dogs over to the park.</p> <p>2 colors of jackets, also have dark green and ivory. I don't have finds of other items, sorry.&nbsp;</p> <p>#7 Wait! found this photo of the jacket in 2018. I'd rather wear it this way.</p>
