Keturah those look beautiful and work well together! ❤️ Could we also see one outfit where one belt is worn in the jean belt loops and the other belt on your natural waist at the same time.

So here is how I wore double belts on Monday I totally wore Lysse leggings as pants. Not maybe the most flattering, but I’m down to this pair of leggings and one pair of jeans and a couple of dresses.

I amped it up by double belting a mid length cardigan and throwing on a hand knit shawl. Then, I threw on a pair of athletic shoes.

The lilac colored belt is wider, maybe 1.5 in? The leopard print is all of 1/2 in. I just tucked in the extra length of the lilac belt.

Keturah I would love to see the belts you use, and stack 3; you’ve got to show me what that looks like and how you do that! You mentioned a fabric belt looks better on top, could a d ring belt work too or less bulky leather belt?

Angie that’s the best part about fashion, eventually something always comes back into style

I’m also in the camp of stacking skinny belts. Love it! Used to do it tons but got away from it after I had my son. Now that he’s nearly 3 I feel myself wanting to stack 2-3 skinny belts again.

I see the belt around waistband working with a belted top, especially if the belt is fabric like the burgundy jacket or sleeveless blouse pictures you shared. That’s just my take on it and how I would wear it.

Interesting idea but since I don't like to even wear one belt, I can't see myself joining this challenge. Like Janet, I was thinking two complementary skinny belts might look best.

Agreeing with Janet about looking at thrift for belts. There's always lots of different styles-so easy to experiment with lots of combos.
I'm very short waisted, so usually avpid belts, but could work on people with long torsos.

Yeah, Brooklyn did something similar and it looked great on her. I wouldn't get near that style personally because my waist is very short and curvy. I'm always looking to elongate that part of my body, and cutting it with even one belt doesn't appeal to me.

I would think that thinner belts would work best for this kind of thing, and I would keep them in a similar color or somehow make sure they work together to keep the look cohesive. I think you'll need to play with it to see what works.

If you're looking to build a belt collection to try this style, I've noticed that thrift and consignment stores often have really good leather belts for practically nothing.

Yes Joy I was talking about one in the belt loops and the other around your waist below the bust area.

Funny story, in High School I actually had the two skinny belts together you are talking about and they were studded, sort of a punk-rock edge look added to my outfit . I haven’t seen them for adults but teens might still wear them.

Jess a few years ago it was a style to buckle two skinny belts together and wrap them around twice then buckling the remaining ends. It was interesting as a look and I thought that is what you meant. Are you thinking of one belt worn as usual through the belt loops and a second belt probably worn above that one at your waist around your top but not through the belt loops? It would certainly bring attention to your waist and tummy. For that reason I would probably not wear it myself but would admire it on others.

Today while out I saw something that caught my attention, a woman was wearing an outfit where she had a belt on at her waist, and visible in the belt loops of her jeans. I’ve never seen this bold style before, but I liked it!

It got me thinking if any of you have worn an outfit this way, and what belts and tops you wore for it. I think this style could potentially become a new trend and I would like us to discuss feedback and ideas on how we could style our own outfits.

I like the idea of a Cardigan for part of the top where the belt is worn, or worn on top of a basic colored shirt to give some color. The shirt would be fully tucked into the jeans, or a short enough length that it sits just above the belt loops so the belt is visible. The jeans would have to be worn on the hips to accomplish this to leave enough room for the waist belt.

The question is what kind of belts to wear in which location? I thought the waist belt would be wider or more colorful to draw attention to the top, and the jean belt basic color and thinner, but is that a good logic or coup they be switched and attention drawn to the hips? Would our body shape determine which belt to wear in which spot to draw more attention?

I’d love to hear your ideas and feedback, and if some of you could try and experiment with an outfit or two for this to post pictures here for ideas that would be great as there is nothing online to show and I currently have no belts to try this with yet. We are the new fashion frontiers

Here are a few photos to show outfits I think could look good with two belts.
