I turned my teenage daughter's favourite sweaters into Barbie clothes by accident and she has almost forgiven me (at 32).</p> <p>On the other hand, if you give them to someone crafty, the latest thing is to wash them to shrink and felt them, then cut and sew mittens. I have no solutions for moths, but I've been told by others to dry clean or wash more frequently. A LOT. And developed a hole. I couldn't even pass it down to my daughter -- it is ruined. Waah. :-(</p> <p>I actually have had success washing my Tippi sweaters on the cold/delicate cycle, so I was surprised at how easily they can be ruined by a warm wash cycle. For those of you who like merino sweaters -- be warned! </p>
