Both tops look great. I agree with Kat; if hosting only, I'd go for the silver, but if cooking, running around with little kids or dog, etc. choose #2.

I really like both tops. I think the waist surrender on the first one is not an issue as long as you keep the bottom slim. The only thing I'll say about the first one is that the cuffs would drive me crazy. But if they don't get in your way, go for it. The second top is great for casual wear.

Christy it's great to see you:). I love both tops on you however for the family gathering 1 is perfect. Everything Kari said I agree with. The top has just enough volume and I love this silhouette with the skinnies. Also the top is the perfect length, the outfit is perfectly balanced. And Christy you hair looks gorgeous. Hope you have a fabulous day.

I like them both on you! Don't feel bad -- i think everyone understands life can get busy and we don't always have time to sit and spend in front of the computer. You can still get good feedback when you need it!

You ladies are the best! Thanks for the feedback. I bought the top thinking I would wear it with a black blazer and thought the cuffs would look super cute peeking out from under the jacket but wasn't sure about wearing it on it's own. Kari: I've layered a black tank under the top. Thank you!

I love the first top, and agree with Kari, that the color and drape are beautiful. It's refined casual and you wear it well, Christy. No! You do not look like a pirate and it's because the black brings everything together. Have fun with your with family.

I think it has just the right volume for the skinnies. I like the cuffs - they are unexpected and fun! I would wear it for a family get together.

I agree with Kari, you look like you have the casual daytime dressing down. I enjoy the drapey top in #1-2 and don't think it looks too voluminous, especially with the black skinnies. I have a general lack of appreciation for lace, so I will leave that to others, though I do think the scale is balanced by the color tie-in to the pants and neckline. I also happen to really like how #3 looks. I think if I were going to be just hosting a casual event later in the day, I'd go with #1, but if I were to be cooking or being active in the event, I'd go with #3. Large grains of salt with all my advice, please, as I am rather new here. Have a great get-together.

I think the top is beautiful! I like the silvery-gray fabric, and the drape is divine. This is "waist surrendering" in the best sense. I agree that it's supposed to be drapey and doesn't look too big, and the volume is fine with skinny jeans. The cuffs are unexpected, and personally my eye would take some adjustment to the scale, but I like that they coordinate with the black layer under the top. (Are you wearing two tops, or is the edge on the neckline built in?)

I actually would not have known that you were stumped by casual daytime dressing in any way.

Hi all - I've been a bit MIA and feel a bit guilty asking for feedback when I haven't been around to give any! Every time I sit down to catch up around here something else crops up. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. So hope this isn't too indulgent! Two questions:

1. Top #1 is supposed to be loose...but does this look too big? I think a small would be better but all they had was a medium. Too big or okay? And what do you think about the cuffs? This is pretty wacky for me - the cuffs are lace. Cute or do I look like a pirate?

2. We are hosting a family get together today. Very casual. Which top is better or do I need to start over? I also have a couple of flowy blouses that I can try pairing with the skinnies. Definitely flats day and not heels which always throws me for a loop.

Casual daytime dressing flummoxes me - can you tell?
