You could also try folding the scarf in half (long way) and looping in around your neck, pulling the fringe ends through the loop - keeping it all up top, not draping down to your waist. If the scarf is amenable to this, what I do in a case like this is l: to knot the fringe ends together; and then two loops around the neck. Thereby I’m creating a faux infinity scarf. You can move to loop up around your neck, so the neckline will be visible. Or just let it hang freely around your neck without the loop.
