That's interesting Parsley. I had the same experience, that & converting Aussie sizes made me give up because I was totally confused.

I am NOT impressed with Nordstrom's fit predictor. The one for jeans seems to be OK, but for dresses it's way off, at least for me. For one thing it keeps telling me I need petites, but I'm 5'6" and usually am looking for longer hemlines. And the size it keeps recommending is 2 to 3 sizes bigger than what actually fits me! I keep double checking the information I entered, but it's all correct. Go figure!

Nordstrom's although I haven't used it extensively, seems the best - it appears to be based on responses to the fit question in item reviews, as well as the manufacturer 's size charts.

Thanks, Diana. That's what I was thinking. Thanks for taking the time to answer, though!

No. I'm pretty sure they're based on the brands' size charts, which are almost never accurate as far as i can tell and don't take into account variations in specific designs.

ETA: Maybe if you had measurements that actually fit into a standard size chart, it might be more accurate.

I have noticed that Neiman Marcus and Saks (and sometimes Nordies) have fit predictors to show what size you should order if you enter information based on previous designer sizes you've purchased. Do these work for you?
