I have a pair of sperry calf hair loafers, real leather version, that were a bit narrow at first. After two wears with thick socks (about the house mind you!) and they stretched acceptably to be comfortable.

ETA: Id say about the same as a soft leather as they seemed to stretch pretty easily, could be the boat shoe cut though... which always seems forgiving in the width to me.

If it's real (so it's on leather) then it will stretch. I have calf hair shoes that are both real and synthetic; my real ones did stretch to mold around my feet, the synthetic do not stretch at all.

I'd say that my calf hair booties have stretched out about the same as my leather ones, but I'm no expert.

I'm trying to figure out if some booties will break in at all. It seems like suede stretches the most, followed by leather with the softest stretching more than stiffer ones, followed by patent leather, then pleather. Where does calf hair fit in? Thanks for your advice!
