Thanks, Angie...at least I know I'm not alone! Usually VC petite tops fit me pretty well—they tend to run small, even if the VC misses' run big. I even ordered a size up (XSP) to see if the drape would be better, but that was clearly too big and hung on my frame. It's such a pity, because the fabric is gorgeous. WAHHH! But I'm really determined not to buy anything that isn't perfect with regard to fit.

Yes. The fit and drape wasn't great at all.

K, I think I might have already tried that...the back of the top is so long and billowy that it looks really unbalanced when viewed from the side. But I will try again. I tried so many things that I can't remember what I did now! :)

abc, yup, it comes in petite, and I've got the XXSP . I am very open to returning it if it doesn't work. I'm tired of fussing with stuff to make it sit right when it's really not proportioned correctly. I do love the color and the sheen, but if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. I know that the zipper on mine ends pretty much right where I would tuck, at least when wearing higher-rise bottoms—so it doesn't look like on the model. But I know that models are much taller than the average person, and this particular model might be long waisted as well. So I thought I'd see what the average fabber who owns this top has run in to.

If the zipper goes to your waist I think the proportions could be off. Look where it ends on the model. Does it come in petite? Are you open to return if it doesn't work out?

Gotcha. Could you faux tuck it with a belt?

K, it's not quite long enough for that in the front, at least as far as leggings go. Skinny pants wouldn't be a problem, but the shirt doesn't drape as nicely as I'd like when untucked, I think due to the fact that the front is polyester and somewhat less drapey than the back, which is rayon. So the top doesn't really "move with me" very well in the front.

I'm not sure how long it is on you, but could you wear it as a tunic over skinny pants or leggings?

I bought the VC Zipper-Front Top at NAS, but I'm having problems styling it, specifically with regard to tucking. I don't really care for how the shirt looks on me untucked (the back seems to billow out more than I'd like, and the polyester front is a bit stiff to hang nicely), but I have difficulties tucking and semitucking because of the zipper. The zipper goes pretty much all the way to my waist, so when I tuck, the zipper pushes the material out awkwardly and doesn't allow a nice drape. I've tried blousoning the top, which works if I get it just right, but we're getting into "fussy" territory, and I have no idea if the blousoning would stay put all day.

I realize I can probably wear this with lower-rise bottoms, but I bought it specifically to have something for nicer occasions, which is when I wear skirts, all of which are higher rise (close to my natural waist).

For those of you who have this top, are you able to tuck it? I'm wondering if maybe my torso is just too short, which means that the zipper goes down too far to allow for nice tucking. I'd just exchange for a size down, but I'm already in the smallest petite size (yup, as usual, grr). I will say that the end of the zipper on my top, when the top is tucked, is nowhere near the end of the zipper as it appears on the model.
