And to say you liked them on me is very flatttering! I was insipired to get them by seeing how great other people like Tanya, Inge, Laura and Marianne (???) looked wearing them. I do love the silver, but they do start to look scuffed a lot earlier than the traditional leather. My maroon Docs are probably about 6 years old now and the regular leather is still very smooth looking. That's what mine are, in a more textured leather than the ones you posted, and I get so much use from them. I've wanted a pair of Doc Martens for well over ten years and I'm just now letting myself buy them. I was reluctant to spend the money, expecting to grow out of my sort-of-punk/goth phase and not wear the boots anymore, but I've come to terms with my "edgy" side and have decided to invest. After all, 10+ years of wanting really isn't just a passing fancy. ;)</p> <p>Of course, now I can't decide what color! Black seems the obvious choice for standard reasons: it's a classic look, it goes with everything, etc. Lately, though, I haven't been able to get the silver ones ( <a href="http://www.dmusastore.com/p-2398-1b60.aspx" rel="nofollow">http://www.dmusastore.com/p-2398-1b60.aspx</a> ) out of my head; even more so after Tam posted pictures of how awesome she looks in hers.
