Which Docs did you get, Vani?

My white pair squeaked, but my black pair did not. Different leather I guess.

I have had that problem with one shoes and it was terribly annoying. The soles were made of two layers of leather and they must have unglued on some part or something, and the pocket of air was inside, making them squeak.

I've had Docs that squeaked - I think it was the actual rubber heel that was doing it so that would explain the quality of the sound. It must have eventually gone away because I don't recall thinking of them as squeaking in general, but it's been a long time. I seem to recall that I thought it had something to do with the 'air cushioned' soles.

I'm sure this was completely unhelpful! But yes, photos please!

The temps I've been impatiently waiting for are finally here (55 deg, woohoo!) giving me the opportunity to wear out the door my 14 eyelet docs. Except for a the tiniest rubbing on the back of my foot, there has been no damage to the feet while breaking them in. The leather is a little stiff but that is slowly changing too. My only worry right now is that the heels make a very audible (not obnoxious but definitely audible to everyone) squeaking/swishing noise. Almost like I'm wearing rubber and not leather shoes. Is this normal for the break in period? I've worn them several times around the house and twice for a full 8-9 hrs each time.

And just because I want to say it, I feel FAB-TASTIC in my docs!!!

Thanks!
