They are also very stable due to the thicker heel and slip-resistant, which make me feel better about wearing such a high heel (for me!). Joy, the larger size was just way too big, with gaps and the height of the shoe cut into my outer heel a bit. I think this size will be fine and I'll road test it this week! Rae, yes, walking a trade show can be tiresome, but I had the shoes on for a couple of hours, walking on carpet, and the more I wore them, the more comfortable they seemed. But, you are correct in that feet do swell in the afternoon and later in the day, so that is a consideration on sizing and comfort and you bring up a good point. Do they work with:</p> <p>Yellow Halogen pencil skirt<br /> Black and white striped RL shirt with black silk buttons<br /> Belts, black (two photos: one is a leather with silver hardware and the other is a stretch belt)<br /> B &amp; W big pearl necklace<br /> Plain nylons. (Different color??? Pattern?)</p> <p>Your help is really appreciated, because I want to return one (or both) today, before I leave mid-week. (Sizing note: Funny, if I keep them, I'm sticking with the UK5 as the UK 6 hit my ankle bones in a funny way in the bigger size. I wear a 7-1/2 or 8. The Doc Martens, knee-high 20-eyelet boots are a UK 6 and while loose, will be okay with socks. With pumps like these in the photo, I get concerned about my toe touching the front of the shoe and they are "just there.")</p> <p>I'm posting a few more photos later today or tomorrow and would appreciate your input on those, too.
