I don't think you have to worry about the docs looking dated, since it's not like the details are all over the place, even at this moment in time.

They sound great, thanks so much!!

Here's my original post, with a link to the first pair...

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ots-please

The first pair is more classic. I'm trying to find the right balance between classic and funky, which is why I really liked the Doc Martens. I just hope they won't look dated in a year or two. I found some reviews on them and almost every one was five stars!

oopsie, just saw your post. AWESOME BOOTS!!! your model is a little newer (and better, IMHO) because of the more 'subtle' detailing and monochromatic seaming.
i think you'll like the heel for walking, and it is of course great for rainy/chilly weather.

i bought the red ones for the 'crazy days,' but regret not getting something a little more subdued, ie versatile for work and smart casual so, they come out to play once in a while...and halloween, lol.

also, they fit smaller calves nicely. WATCH OUT for the zippers though, the leather used to pull it up and down popped off in no time. hopefully your pair has gone through some product refinement!

what other pair are you thinking of? please post!

I just ordered the Doc Marten Jenna Amber knee high boots! I'm so excited! In the archives I saw that Cyan45 mentioned owning them. If you see this thread would you mind giving me your thoughts? Have they held up over time? I'm trying to decide between these and another pair, so any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!
