Good luck! I now have (yikes) 3 pairs of Docs, and I find them so comfortable and well-made. I really hope they work for you!

It seems to be online in my size and if possible I'm going to directly try it on in the store after the holidays. I hope so. It's a great price! I wear a UK 6 or 7.

I've been looking for this shoe in European web shops, but it is nowhere to be found. Is it only available in tha American market? Does anybody know? I agree, it looks so comfy and seems to be a workhorse to many of you.

I'll be curious to know if they have your size. I've been looking for this in a small size (5.5-6) and can't find it online. Maybe call ahead before you visit the store!

Thanks, all! I appreciate your feedback. You women have no idea how much you sell this shoe--it always looks so gorgeous on you. I'll try and get over to the brick and mortar store next week and grab some if it works out!

Same here! 2.5" is my max (mostly due to bad knees) but the Marcies are super stable and comfy.

I'm a 7.5 (now growing to 8)/38 and got size 5. They fit really well.

Hi, Mochi - I have them and love them, and like Shannon, I am not always comfortable in the 3 inch heel. Most 3 inch shoes (even with wide heels) are sort of ....oh, I don't know....5 hour shoes? Or they are okay for a day of mixed walking/ sitting but not a whole day of walking.

The Marcies, though. they are another matter. I could wear them for endless lengths of time. It is the rubbery sole and platform plus the wedge that make them different, IMO. I tend to wear wedges much more comfortably than heels. Even with that, the Marcies make me feel positively bouncy! I'm serious....I put those things on and feel powerful!

I am somewhere between a 6.5 and a 7 in NA sizes, usually a 37 in European sizes. Unlike Shannon, I sized up in these to the UK 5. I tend to like a bit of room in my boots. These ones are narrower than some Docs. I find the 5 works fine as is in the Marcies; my Doc Saras in the same size actually feel too big for me now, even with an insert. So your mileage may vary.

My one complaint/ issue with the Marcies is that the tongue always crawls around on me and slides sideways. It's a pain in the ....well, I guess it's not a pain in the *butt* but it's a pain in the sartorial splendour. I have to figure out how to deal with this. I got some good suggestions last year but have yet to try the solutions offered and need to check that thread again.

How exciting Mochi! I love LOVE my Doc Marcies. I am not always comfortable in a 3" heel - 2.5 is more my speed. However I do find that the Marcies are much more comfortable and stable due to the wedge heel and the platform-like footbed. I have literally worn these for both 10 hour days at work where I'm doing quite a bit of walking or for a day of shopping and have had no problem with discomfort.

I am a size 6.5 but got a size 6 (UK4) in the Marcies and they fit perfectly. I recall Angie mentioning they run a bit big. Definitely try on both an 8 and a 9. If you end up with a pair a tiny bit roomy, you can add a Dr. Scholls gel insert (the kind that just goes where the ball of your foot sits) - it totally keeps your foot from moving around.

Keep us posted!

Someone just posted that they were pulling the trigger on these shoes and I'm thinking of doing it too--they're at a great price now (and Boston has a new Doc Martens store, so I can try 'em on if they have my size!) I'm just wondering, those of you who are wearing them (beautifully), are you always comfortable with a 3"-plus heel, or is it this shoe that's particularly stable and comfy? I'm such a wuss when it comes to heels. Otherwise, it's a question of seeing exactly how high up on my calf they reach.

Also this sounds silly but with the Martens not coming in half sizes (I'm an 8.5), I wonder if I will slide forward and downward in a heel if I go up in size. Maybe an insert would fix that.
