If I have to fuss and slouch and contort to get the proportions to look right, then I feel the outfit probably needs to be adjusted. Kind of like when a photographer says a model's face looks great from any angle... If I don't get one I like, I readjust and take 4 more. But yes, a better outfit photographs better.
