I am flying across the country on Saturday and plan to wear a summer skirt--above the knee sheer ink blue with white polka dots, with an ink blue sweater top, ink blue tights, black knee high wedge boots and black leather moto jacket. With--I hope this doesn't sound cringe-worthy--a baby pink flannel scarf. I only have a couple of dresses so far, but on the lookout for more. I wear the dresses with booties, so I am still as comfortable as if I were in pants.</p> <p>To make them work in winter, I choose dark-colored tights and matching booties. I also sometimes pop a cardigan over, belted on top of the cardigan looks neat. And I also like a pullover sweater on top, so the dress looks like a skirt at that point. One of the main problems was that I never seemed to have the right footwear. I did not own any boots, I had difficulty with heels (fussy feet) and my flats did not look good with dresses/skirts. I am trying to mend all of this.
