Another resounding yes! And I try to resole and reheel before they're completely worn down, as I have sometimes damaged the shoe by waiting too long :(.

Yes! Especially if they are comfy. I have problems finding shoes that fit and are comfortable, so usually I end up with rather expensive shoes, therefore, if there is any wear left in them I want to eek it out!

another yes!!! most shoes I reheel and sometimes resole. Some rubber soled shoes (like flexible ballet flats) cannot be reheeled, so they are toast when worn down. But more often then not, yes.
As said above (RT?), I consider more how much I value the shoe and whether I can replace it rather than how much I spent on it.

It depends on the repair. I get my boots re-heeled and polished regularly, and it's completely worth it. My sandals, and any shoes with leather on the inside that I wear without socks, end up getting wrecked over time from sweat, and according to my cobbler there's nothing I can do to stop or repair that damage (other than wearing socks).

Absolutely. If they're comfortable and the tops have a good bit of life left - it's totally worth it to replace the heels or soles. It's quick, easy, and inexpensive.

Yes definitely, for all the reasons above. I wouldn't do it for a $20 pair, but for a $60 one, if it was comfortable, good for my wardrobe and the upper was still good, I wouldn't hesitate.

I am very hard on my shoes, and they need reheeling every year. I have just picked up the riding boots I wore in my first year on YLF (3 years ago) for new heels. They will be good for another winter!

Yes, try it and you will be amazed! Ask the cobbler to polish the shoe as well, or add shock absorbing soles or half soles and it's like you have new shoes! And even more comfortable too. I "salvaged" a pair of killing booties I thought were good for garbage. It cost around $20.

I spend a lot on my shoes, so I definitely have them repaired when necessary. Replacing the bottom of a heel and/or the soles of a shoe shouldn't be that expensive--$10-$20, depending on where you live. If a shoe wasn't expensive to begin with but you love it, it might still be worth it to have them fixed.

I almost only buy leather shoes and re-heel and (eventually) re-sole them as necessary. I definitely think it's worth it.

Everyone wears down the heels of their shoes eventually. If you really like the shoes, and the uppers are in good shape, it is certainly worth having the heels replaced. There are lots of choices for replacement material, too. I often have a thin Topy sole put on shoes with leather soles (sometimes even brand-new ones), because it make them much less slippery for walking, and also because the Topy sole is a very tough material that takes forever to wear down.

Yes. That said, I only buy leather shoes. I don't place value on them by how much I paid but rather by how much I love them (and whether or not they can be replaced).

If so, how much does it cost? Is it worth it? I don't spend a lot of money on my shoes but there are some that are real leather that I think may be worth it. The way I walk, I wear down the heels on my shoes. Is it worth it to fix shoes that were only $60 to begin with?
