I have it on a window seat after my dog pulled off some leaves and shredded them….they are toxic for dogs. My good friend is the opposite, and when she moved to Toronto 18 months ago, she left me bunch of her plants that she was not able to take with her across continents. I am trying hard not to kill them, they are still alive and even my cat is cooperating. My mother had quite the green thumb and loved indoor and outdoor plants, flower beds, and vegetable gardens. Growing things makes me feel close to her now that she’s gone. I rarely buy cut flowers. I love gardening, but I prefer working only with shrubs and small trees. The&nbsp; only garden space where I have flowers, as well as the herbs I use in cooking, is our roof deck. It's a beautiful floral kingdom in summer. Because of the kitties I rarely indulge in cut flowers but could not resist a bouquet of daffodils last week (not cat-safe but I am keeping a close eye on things).</p> <p>The viney plant that is trailing along the wall in the photo is almost 20 years old, grown from a cutting of a plant that was given to my mom as a cutting. My Bonsai are different kinds of junipers, and they must stay outside. They are "outside Bonsai"! They would die inside. They are between 15 and 20 Years old.&nbsp;</p> <p>I took a pic a minute ago. Adding to the collection slowly as I figure out what's best for the sun exposure they get. &nbsp;I love gardening and flowers and miss my perennial beds a LOT. That used to be my summer activity and I spent hours and hours at it. I make do with my balcony plants but it's not the same. &nbsp;I'd love to have fresh flowers in the house too, but need to improve my vase collection first. They are a big part of the decor because of all our windows. Bonsai gardening is a hobby. VERY tricky to grow and look after.
