I wasn't sure I did, but after buying the bronze cardi last weekend my obsession with finding exactly the right pair of bronze boots has got somewhat worse. I've been staring at the first ones for 4 months but have just recently found the second pair which may be better. The first ones are too high for me probably and I have delayed because my two most recent pairs of heeled boots are insufficiently worn due to their heels. And I don't want to make a mistake I seem to have already made twice, a third time. If not for that, I would have bought that first pair months ago as I adore them. They are on special now but a hassle to get as I am not sure which of two sizes would fit. Ordering two sizes and returning one when I am still so unsure is not something I would enjoy doing. This is why I prefer bricks and mortar shopping. I did actually try one of the sizes on in person about 4 months ago but I can't remember now which size it was! And they were moderately comfotable but not a slam dunk comfort-wise. So I delayed. I suspect I am one of the biggest delayers on this forum. When I delayed 11 months on buying my olive snakeskin pants another Fabber said they didn't think they had ever waited that long to buy something.&nbsp;<br />The issue is I've made so many mistakes in the past! And I feel so guilty when I do. And especially now when almost every dollar is needed for our new house which is almost finished... I think shoes/boots probably are a big part of how I rate things up. In a thread where I posted a bunch of boots I liked last year, Jenni NZ said they nearly all looked like tramping boots. I thought it was pretty funny. </p> <p>My palette tends to be strong colors, and I often pair big/chunky/rate with more body-fitting and /or traditionally pretty, like a blue paisley skirt from a fancy store and silver necklace with a black T-shirt and stompy black boots. </p> <p>But really, I’m moving in the other direction, I think. I remember discovering how body suits and tights could get me past the drab body-draping sweater and jeans/pants silhouette to look actually feminine in winter. That was 20 years ago. Then I gradually started wearing my jewelry. The most recent step in this journey has been pink. The amount of it I own now is probably more than what I’ve owned the rest of my life put together, no lie (although there is one pink item I’ve had since high school). </p> <p>Despite all this, I cannot picture myself being all elegance, no rough edges. That just sounds boringly predictable to me (for me). </p> <p>There is a psychological growth side to this movement too. Being active and physically strong has always been very much a big part of my self-identification (it was rough for me the first time my son was clearly stronger). Not terribly expensive, but a very versatile design, mixed metals, perfect for me, and impossible to replace because the design is discontinued. I was very sad, and very happy when I found them later on the bottom of my makeup bag. I still wear them several times a week. I would duplicate them in a heartbeat if I would find them somewhere.
