I'll wear the same casual outfit on Saturday and again on Sunday, and then whatever nice outfit gets worn to church gets worn again on Monday. I think of an outfit for Sunday Mass, which I don't wear very long. Then I wear the exact same outfit for work on Monday. It's the most amazing relief not to have to plan Monday's outfit, to know which earrings to put on, which belt, etc. I love it. Every once in a while there's a special church service on Monday and then I'm embarrassed to have DD and her hubby see me in the same things they saw me in on Sunday! So far I have not anticipated this problem! During cooler weather I will happily repeat pants, sweater and jackets depending on where I have been the day before. I like everything underneath, including shirts and tops, to be fresh though. I may repeat a piece if living out of a carry-on, but even then I like to air things between wearings, including footwear, coats and jeans. Maybe that's why I feel the need for a large wardrobe. But for me, it's out of a weird sense of wanting to "save" clothes (especially if I'm just staying home -- why wear something "good" that is clean?)  and also cut down on laundry. So many of my clothes are hand wash/lay-flat to dry, and I want to preserve them by not washing too much. But it feels wrong to me to hang up an item I've already worn. For the most part, though, I don't get enough opportunities to wear my casual outfits, since I'm in work clothes M-F. So I take advantage of the weekend to wear a mix of things! (And I don't repeat work outfits on back-to-back days because I'm seeing the same people. I have noticed that my repeat outfits tend to be comfy and relatively simple, FFBO's as it were.  Nothing fancy, just good , solid, functional outfits. Of course I put clean socks and undergarments on, but this is something I often do on weekends. Usually it's the same outfit Saturday to Sunday, but that's just because my Friday outfit is typically more dressed up for work. Call it efficiency, call it laziness, maybe its just a punk thing (on tour, some bands don't change but every 3-4 days or more lol... I'm not that crusty!)
