Most recently, the oversized clutch. I bought one in burgundy (two trends in one!). Fortunately it was only $29.95 so not much lost in trying it out. But now I realize how impracital clutches are for me. My wallet doesn't even fit in it! I have to carry my regular purse as well to carry all my stuff, so today I'm carrying two purses! Unless there is something so spectacular about the full priced one that makes them heads and shoulders above the rest, I buy a bargain knock-off first to try it out. I even do it sometimes with mid-price items (I bought a dotted chambray shirt from Old Navy to try out and tide me over while I waited three months on the waitlist for my JCrew version to come in!). I usually find that the obsession fades as time passes, and I'm glad that I bought the bargain. Usually for me such obsessions are irrational ie/ clothes that are totally impractical for my lifestyle and existing warddrobe.<br /> These gloves look practical but not that luxe for the price (which I consider high at $95 let alone $300, relative to *my* budget &amp; needs). The wool looks pilly.
