I still have my first-gen Fitbit, so this was pre-watch functionality! I wear it in a Tory Burch wrap bracelet, which I really like, although it is not delicate enough for really dressy occasions (of which I have about 1/year, so not really a biggy for me!).

However, it is starting to act funky and time for an upgrade - I think I will get a Fitbit alta or blaze and invest in a nice silver band of sorts for it ... and keep my more delicate Skagen watch on-hand for the odd dressier occasion.

I got a pretty rose gold leather strap for my Fitbit Alta, so it feels like I have the best of both worlds. I wasn't wearing fashion watches much anyway, as they inevitably stop ticking and I don't bother to replace the battery. I agree with Aquamarine that the Alta can look dressy, which is one reason I chose it.

I alternate between an Alta and a Charge 2. I purchased cheap metal bands (silver and rose gold) on Amazon for both of them, and alternate depending on what I am wearing...they can look fairly dressy, especially the Alta, which is sleeker than the Charge 2.

However, I do miss wearing a nice wristwatch on occasion, and just this week bought a really blingy one. I have synced my iPhone to my Fitbit account, so my phone will pick up the steps if I am not wearing the Fitbit.

I have an Apple Watch in rose gold with a lilac strap that I have worn every day since I got it more than year ago (except for a couple of weeks when it broke and I was waiting for the free replacement.) I don't love the way it looks -- it is very sporty -- but the combination of the fitness tracking plus immediate updates on texts and messages makes me stick with it.

I found this interesting to read because I love watches. I don't have a fitness tracker and I am not sure I am getting one. Like Angie, they don't fit with my style. I do like the idea of the ring that Suz posted. My cell has a step app that I use and that is enough for me right now.

I used to wear a fitness band and a traditional watch - they are complete separate devices and it never bothered me to wear both. Now I have an Apple watch, which I received as a gift. I do like the functionality of it, and enjoy switching out bands for fun. It suits my casual lifestyle fine. My fine jewelry watch isn‘t dressy enough for true formal evening occasions, so it mostly sits unworn now.
I own each of the first four bands below, as well as a few solid ribbon bands and one silicone band I wear for workouts. (It gives me a rash if I wear it regularly.) The fifth band is a Kate Spade that I am contemplating for summer.

I wear a fitness watch daily. I do this to help me try to get enough steps and to track my heart-rate (doctor's orders after a medical scare, and I can't figure out how to reliably take my own heart rate).

Even after two years, I have not yet found a routine that guarantees me the steps I need.

So, yes, I wear one.

Yes, I miss my jewelry watches. A lot. Especially my Burberry. :(

Still trying to figure something out, but for now, the fitbit wins.

I lost my Fitbit One & miss it. Don't want a watch style.
But poking around the comments section of Fitbit more than one person commented that you can get the Alta. And then on Amazon there's some aftermarket doodad you can get to turn it into a clip style. I haven't fully investigated it

I think I need to see more instances of two-watch wearing. I feel my poison eye twitching at the thought of an Apple Watch laying next to a regular one, though I imagine smaller step counters could be disguised on the opposing arm or elsewhere. If you’re only interested in steps, it’s much easier to get away with wearing both.

I enjoyed looking at the band bling, even if it doesn’t quite with my more minimalist jewelry style.

I'm frustrated. I wear the One clipped to my bra. Because I like my regular watch and don't like the look of a sporty tracker, but really like the step data. It's true my baseline does not change much and I don't "need" it, but I like it. Also for sleep, which can be an issue for me.

Fitbit has stopped producing the One. For a while, the software was a total mess -- it lost its charge in a day or so, and was the company was hopeless about providing service.

So I switched for a while to a Bellabeat Urban Leaf. But that had its own issues and I gave up wearing it.

I'm back to using the One again, but it is clearly a temporary option since they have stopped producing it and I doubt it will continue to be supported even to the small extent they did support it!

Now I'm in the market for another clipp-able one that I can disguise, preferably with something lovely like the option Gryffin pointed us towards. (Thanks, Gryffin!)

Another option is a ring but it is not available in Canada yet.

I thought several of the Fitbit models could be transfered between a wrist strap and a pendant, and maybe some of the Misfit ones as well? And then there are the clip on ones, no?

Like Angie, I have no real desire to wear a tracker -- for lots of reasons, with fashion/style actually being pretty far down the list. But if it works for you and you like the results, then I'd say it's worth investing in a style you *want*to wear.

I perceive fitness trackers to be a bit of a status symbol, like smartphones and other personal tech, so I'm never surprised when I see celebs sporting them.

This is actually why I never got a fitbit or apple watch. They all look too sporty/gear to me. I'm too vain and l like wearing my analog watches too much.

That being said, someone I know has a step tracker that you can wear as a pendant, either as a visible necklace or under your shirt. I think it's a Misfit and I believe you can get third-party necklaces that are more stylish for it as well.

I love my apple watch. It may not look so great all the time, but I wear it a lot at work, mostly with longer sleeves. I don't feel so easy with it when I have shorter length sleeves.

One of the things that I really like about it, is that I can change the watch face. Quite often I photograph a little snippet of the scarf I am wearing or a pattern on a shirt, and then use it as the watch face.

I also like that it monitors my heart rate. Some of my meetings at work are quite full on and I was worried about how I was coping with stress. I found that in meetings, my heart rate is very good, low, even. But the thing that made my heart rate go up, were things that I wasn't in control of - like the lift not coming quick enough!

I have a fitbit alta since last August. Black band that I don't like. With dressy clothes I tuck it onder the sleeve or leave it at home. I started wearing rings more. And yes my watches are unworn. I have been looking for a silver band but haven't found one I like.
With all that walking that I now feel I need to do, I lost a trouser size.

I used to wear one clipped to my bra, but like Angie, once I realized that the baseline data doesn't change much, I stopped wearing it. However, my mom has a Fitbit Charge 2 and there are tons of different bands on Amazon for it. They aren't pricey so I gave my mom a couple different ones for her birthday and she enjoys changing them out to match her outfits.

I got a fake Fitbit last year before a trip because I thought it would be fun to track how much we walked. I did like it but in my day-to-day life I don't walk alot (I'm a CPA so spend much of my day sitting at a desk) which makes tracking depressing. But I do like that it is chargeable instead of battery and I will probably upgrade to the real thing one of these days so that I can take advantage of the cute bands available. Now I wear it most days but just leave off when I want to wear a bracelet.

I just bought a fitness tracker in 2018. I wear it every single day. My watch now sits in a drawer. I sometimes add a cuff bracelet on the arm with the fitness tracker. This seems to satisfy me.

I tried wearing bracelets and rings on the alternate arm, that this was a complete fail.

I actually hadn't worn a watch in several years until Santa Claus brought me a fitness tracker watch. I got tired of the never ending battles to replace the battery in my regular watch. I also like that my fitness watch feels rather minimalist, and also can skew tactical when I'm wearing tactical boots.

GF and all - there is a wonderful solution. Doesn't no one know about the company Bytten? I wear a fitbit flex (until it dies since they are no longer being produced). I have the below Lucas sterling silver slide by Bytten. Bytten has it's own websitehttps://bytten.com/ where you can see all the different accoutrements that are available to make your fitness tracker a beautiful piece of jewelry. I cannot tell you the number of patients who have grabbed my wrist and asked what is that. So yes I still have the sillicon band but with all the mixed media jewelry today it's the sterling slide that people notice. Metals include gold, rose gold, rhodium, and more. Bytten wraps there slides and stacks beautifully. They are a lovely company to work with. I highly recommended. I have my eyes on an alta and will be getting a slide and stacks to dress it up. I have a group of friends who I do weekly challenges with so although I'd love an apple watch, we are all on fitbit. But Bytten makes me happy and fitbit makes them happy. So it works.

This is exactly the issue I have with mine, so I don't wear it very regularly. I had no idea there was a clip version though, and I'll definitely check that out.

This issue was driving me crazy, so I splurged for the Alta precisely because of this strap. I get so many compliments. I can wear it with multiple bracelets too. But I do miss my watch.

I've worn a Fitbit for 4 years. I wore the watch type for a year and started getting a rash on my wrist so now I wear a clip. It's easy to hide and lets me wear nice watches.
