I's say that all of them look pretty good on you. I am personally not a fan of the blue At one and I really love the pink halter. For a funky twist, you could try layering the black strapless one over a white button-down, I really love that look,
like here:

Hmmm this is difficult because you look good in all three tops because you have such a great shape. But I have small issues with each one.

The black strapless--looks very dressy. I guess my issue with that is my own personal lifestyle--I'd never have anywhere to wear it.

The Blue AT Halter--does not give your bust good support, IMO. Can you wear a bandeau bra with it perhaps? Maybe it's just the camera angle.

And the Sweet Pea Halter--looks like a bathingsuit to me.

But again, these are all minor personal issues--I think you look good in all of them. Does that make sense?

I'll throw in my two cents too. I really liked the strapless top because I thoguht it emphasized your waist so nicely. For the same reason, I disliked the Ann Taylor top--it doesn't show off your waistline at all, which seems such a shame. I put the Sweat Pea top somewhere in the middle--I liked it, it did a better job of emphasizing your figure, but I didn't like it as much as the strapless.

And I'm with most other people on a strong shoulder line. I understand that part of dressing for your body type is about symmetry, but you don't have huge shoulders by any means, and I think your stronger shoulder just serves to emphasize how slim your hips and legs are, which I think is great!

Hi Katie - another dissenting opinion. I love your broad shoulders! I really like you in the strapless top and the sweet pea one. I don't care for the blue ATL as much - something does sit right for me though I can't articulate it well enough.

Thank you so much, everyone. Angie, I appreciate your comments. After I wore the strapless top, I read that small-busted women should wear strapless tops with "interesting" necklines so as to avoid calling attention to their ah, flatness. :)

I'm glad to hear that the Sweet Pea top is a keeper. I really like it and when worn w/ my white pants I feel sassy. I'm torn on the blue top.

Thanks for posting these pics Katie. This does not often happen on this forum. There are strong opposing views. Here’s my 2 cents:

o	I do not prefer the strapless, but not because of your strong shoulder line. Cuts like that minimize the bust area and I don’t think it’s flattering on a smaller chest. I think you probably can wear strapless tops with different necklines.
o	I like the blue bandeau top! I think the V-neck straps compliment your shoulder line. It’s soft and pretty.
o	The sweet pea top works. Will look sweet with white pants which is how you usually sport it.

Katie, the tops do emphasize your strong shoulders, but if you're going for a more balanced look, you could still wear these tops under jackets or cardis.

Katie, I envy you for looking so fab in a strapless top. I think it's awesome. Definitely a keeper.
I like it better than the halter tops; the halter tops just don't seem quite so flattering although I'm not sure yet if it's really because of the strong shoulder line (which I personally like as well) or just the mismatch with these pants. Do you have dark denim clamdiggers and could show us that in photos?

I actually like the strapless top on you. I don't think your shoulders are that big that you would have to deemphasize them. I like the Sweet Pea silhouette too, I think the V-neck is very flattering. The ATL top doesn't look as good - probably because of the horizontal line at the top and it being A-line...

I don't feel you have to hide your shoulders from the world, but I agree with Dani. These tops judy do not flatter your shape. I have the opposite shape. I've got big hips and a round backside, that I am extremely proud, but I try not to wear tapered pencil skirts, or tight mini shorts, because I also have a very small upper body, and I know they'll make my body look completely disproportionate. Instead I might wear very close-fitting boot leg jeans to show off my shape. You must have asked about these shoulder baring tops for a reason, so I'm sure you'll understand. Maybe other people will have some advice for how you can bare your shoulders, in a more flattering way. Also I agree with Inge, about the pattern of the sweet pea tunic.

Firstly, let me just say WOW, there's lots of new posts on the forum every day this week, I can hardly keep up with reading them, let alone giving feedback etc. And great to see all these new names and faces!

And now, back to business:
Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I never really understood the need for inverted triangles (or people with a strong shoulder line in general) to de-emphasize that fact. I love a strong shoulder line, and I'm secretly a bit envious of you ladies.
I think they often look great in strapless or halter tops and I think you sport them really well Katie. (I'm not overly crazy about the print of the Sweet Pea tunic, but that's personal taste, it has nothing to do with how it falls on you).

Katie, they all emphasize your strong shoulder line (especially the strapless). Out of all of them, I like the Sweet Pea halter best. This is just my opinion, we'll see what the others have to say.

In an earlier thread I asked about following the body type rules for my inverted triangle tendencies, which recommend not wearing strapless/halter tops.

Please give me your honest opinions on these tops.

Strapless top from WHBM. I wore this on NYE (we threw a house party) w/ the black BR pants in the picture, chandelier earrings and black patent-y heels.
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....1217617544

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....1217617785

ATL halter. Ignore the pants; I wear this w/ dark jeans.
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....1217617852

Sweet Pea tunic halter. I wear this w/ white jeans.
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....1217617907
