I like them on you! I do think they're a feminine shape and color; the butterfly shape is feminine rather than unisex (examples of the latter might be aviator and the classic Ray Ban look). To me they fit your style descriptors very nicely. I always have to try on tons of frames before I choose, though. Maybe you should go to some other stores and try on frames, if just to be sure these are your favorites.

Are those all the same style of glasses? I like the blue of the frames in the last photo. I think that one meets all your style descriptors. I'm not entirely sold on the fit and shape, tho, for your face. The blue look much better to me fit wise than the first. I don't know if that's a trick of angle or what tho.

It's an interesting point that glasses may not be traditionally considered feminine. That doesn't actually bother me, but feminine isn't a style descriptor I'm consciously aiming for, either. I've never felt that glasses spoiled my look, but I used to pick basic glasses that weren't particularly noticeable in their own right. It's only in the past few years that I started looking for glasses that were fun and I felt actively worked with my style, and I'm much happier now!

Great point that the color makes it feminine. The color is actually purple but it is a pinkish purple and no guy I know would be caught wearing these glasses.

I wonder if glasses are just not associated with a traditional feminine look. You don't see models wearing glasses. Many women, myself included, used to feel that glasses spoil their looks. Things have changed for sure but I still have some of those old associations and often suffer itchy eyes and wear contact lenses instead of glasses. Or I just don't wear glasses and walk around with fuzzy vision. I'm trying to get over it...

I really like these frames on you. The shape works well. I'd agree that they fit most of your descriptors, although I'm not sure what feminine glasses would look like either. The pink in the close up shot gives them a feminine vibe, but it's subtle.

I think the size and shape of these suit you very well. They're a strong looking frame, but the colour softens them and makes them more feminine to me.
I'll be interested to hear what other posters think.

Hi Everyone,

I was at Market Optical in Bellevue Square and the sales lady thought these frames looked great on me. I liked them too but I'm terrible about making on the spot decisions.

My style descriptors are classic, feminine, dressy, colorful and current. Do these glasses meet those descriptors? The only one I'm not sure about is feminine. But then, is it possible for glasses to be feminine? What would feminine glasses look like? I'm not sure.

I would love your thoughts and feedback.

Thank you!
