Since Kate mentioned it, I realized my favorites are all too-big-jeans chopped into shorts -- looser than regular jeans, but still shaped to the legs. Maybe this is important for petites? For 2 I actually have some similar shorts where the leg balloons a little on purpose. I am short and when I am working out (not now) my legs, especially thighs, get bulky, and I still think they worked. All of my bermudas used to be full length pants, and I made two of them skinnier through the thighs so that they fit just the way that I wanted them to (they had been trousers before, not skinnies). Also, length #1 would be longer on me than the model due to my height. I like the way #2 is styled better.
