I find European sizing a bit inconsistent. As for sizing, there are variations. I wear a US 9 or 9.5, and have EU sized shoes in 39.5, 40, and even 41, so don’t worry about the exact number. I'm generally a size 8 (but edging towards an 8.5). I ended up deciding on the italeau Perla suede booties in a 39, which Italeau says is a 9! The 38.5 felt like it was pinching my toes. The 39 feels comfortable, but does make my feet look longer, but I suppose that's the look, or am I meant to jam my foot into these?</p> <p>I wore the 39 one day, and I notice there is already a slight crease forming. Does this mean they were too big? Please see the attached photo, my finger is resting where my big toe is. Is that creasing normal for this type of shoe?</p> <p>I also notice a lot of European brands say a 39 is an 8... I'm so confused. </p>
