The rise was great (about 9") for anyone who is looking and the fit was OK on me (similarly baggy in the calves) but the pocket placement was really poor on my non-existent butt. I also had some whiskering below the butt on the back view. </p> <p>I'll have to start a separate post on my recent non-premium denim quest. I would like for them to be a little more snug, but my legs are so skinny down there and I do calf raises like mad to pump up that muscle. :)</p> <p>Maya, you're right! It seems every pair of skinnies or straight leg jeans whisker on me. I wanted to buy a pair that fit correctly this time that's why I was seeking opinions. Also been shopping a lot. The whole family needs new fall/winter clothes this year. Skinnies and straight legs always whisker in my experience. That is just how they are meant to fit. I don't like whiskering on jeans that are meant to have a more relaxed fit like trouser jeans, but on these it's fine.</p> <p>I don't think you're after 10" pencil leg skinnies that cling all the way down to the ankle, are you? "Skinnies" can be anywhere from around 10"-15" depending on size and how fitted they are. My Rich and Skinny skinnies are 10" but my straight legs are 15". They both fit but they are just different cuts. As Angie says, straight legs are just a variation on skinnies and I honestly think they are way more flattering on most people.
