I have found that when I branch out and try something like this (different levels of contrast), sometimes it takes me a while to adjust. My only suggestion would be to maybe try adding some dark nail polish (if you wear polish--can't remember) to echo the high contrast in your natural coloring. Maybe that would balance things out a little more to your eye? If you find that your hair is too dark/high contrast, why not wear it up and closer to your head? Try a ballerina bun at the back, or a sloppy French twist, or just pile it up on top of your head...you have enough length to try something fun...and creating space between your shoulders to ear will make the darkness of your hair less heavy...no ghost with a brown wig. I'm a VERY deep autumn, but can veer a bit into winter. My skin is mostly warm but has a little Mediterranean olive in it too, so I can wear quite a lot of different color shades. I much prefer wearing warm shades because they bring out more of my peachy-gold skin shades (which I like better), versus the cool tones with bring out more of my olivey Mediterranean shades. I do wear them both, though. EDIT: I did want to add that I probably don't come across as particularly autumnal since my neutrals are more wintery (black, white, cream, gray); it's a stylistic decision since they are more urban than brown-based. I just tend to look for warmer colors to wear with them I also generally don't wear muddy colors, like many autumns do. I also wear both gold and silver. Ilove the look of light + white, be it gray, light blue, pink, etc. However, whenever I wear a light, low-contrast outfit, I always feel I look a little blah, and/or like a ghost with a dark wig on. Granted my hair is quite light, and my skin a little darker, at the moment from the sun - but does this palette work on me? It's quite different from the deep (navy) palette I've been wearing of late. Thanks for your thoughts!
