They are lovely boots. Since they have a zipper, they can be easily tightened.

Keep them to wear over jeans Kristine, and it's okay. But they are unfortunately a little wide to wear on their own since the style of boot is supposed to be sleek. Sorry

Thanks everyone!

Kate, they do have a zipper and some other seaming. They also have a small elastic gore section. I'm hoping they might be able to do something easy with this area also.

Thanks Kyle, it's disappointing! I wore them around the house for a few days and they seemed fine.

Thanks Kari! I can wear them with skinny jeans (that might be how I stretched them). But I bought these specifically for skirts and dresses so I'm bummed out. It's a solution though if nothing can be done.

Kristine, would you be able to wear them with skinny jeans? I have some boots that are just the reverse - too tight to wear with jeans tucked in, so I wear them only with skirts & tights or thin leggings underneath.

Kristine, I am sympathetic and hope the cobbler can make it right for you. I purchased a pair of boots Saturday and took them back today...they were too loose around the calf and ankle. It anyone has tips for finding boots that are more fitted, please let us know. I've been eyeing the Kors Bromley style with a set in elastic gore. Again, sorry the boots are not working out as you had hoped.

They zip down the side, right? My cobbler said that as long as boots zip down the side they can be taken in (without the zipper they can't flip the shaft inside out to do the stitching they need to inside of the boot). Good luck, and keep us posted!

Ok, thanks! That's disappointing, but maybe there's hope. There's a shoe repair shop down the street, I'll take them in and see what they say. There are seams on the sides, so maybe those could be taken in.

I have some new pairs of pants that would work with this heel height so I guess they could become trouser boots for now also.

I'll let others with a better eye give you an opinion on fit but I think there is hope if they are too big. It seems that it is possible to do a whole lot of "frankesteinish" things to boots. I came across these boot repair shop a while back. The image looks promising. Maybe you could find something similar in your area.

Hmm, they seem ok in the first picture...maybe a tiny bit big but not noticeable. In the second picture they look too big though. I'd take them to a cobbler.

I think it is a great idea to ask a shoe repair shop. They look too big in the calf to me, especially in the second photo.
I hope they can do something for you because they are lovely boots. All the best!

And if not, is there anything I can do about it? Responses to my last post made me realize they may not be fitting as well as I hoped. I wore them once with skinny jeans and may have stretched them out.

The first picture is the first day I had them. The second is today.

I'm really sad about it because they're brand new (but now worn so I can't return them). If you don't think they fit correctly, do you think a shoe repair shop could do anything with the calf? There are small panels with elastic on the side, maybe they could put a buckle on them? Thanks!

I overexposed the second photo so you could see detail.
