I hope this will turn out to be a fresh start for you.</p> <p>As for the booties, in my opinion, they do gape too much--at least if you want to wear them with bare legs or hose/tights. I ordered several pairs of booties (well, shooties mostly) before settling on&nbsp;a pair of Vince Camuto shooties that don't gape too bad.
