But choose the right ones. If you're not crazy about the heel and sole on these ones, pass them up and search for a better pair. There are many red shoes to be had out there. I'm keeping mine since I think they will be so versatile. As for the red wedge, they are such a pretty colour of red and who doesn't need red shoes???? I totally agree, though, - red shoes are fun. I am still trying to get a bit more out wear of boots (it's fairly cold right now, about 35F) so it's possible I may not get to wearing these for a while. I bought a pair of red flats last spring - something other than beige, brown, black, grey or whatever. They elevated even the simplest outfit. A pair of skinny jeans and a french-blue button-down shirt? Ho hum, right? Pop on *red* flats and I suddenly felt just a bit more jaunty, a bit more stylish and more fun. I like the color AND the heel. I vote keep unless you really just aren't in love with them, or they aren't comfortable. You can keep your eye out for another pair of red pumps! I have several pairs of wedges--pewter, nude and orange and they all have a wooden heel. I'm thinking my wedges are probably less current than the covered wedge. Not sure though. And Me Too are generally very comfortable, in my experience. They are one of my favorite brands. But if you don't really love them, then send them back and wait for a great pair. It also depends on the shade of red that you are looking for. I like BRIGHT red, which seem to be less common than burgundy and darker reds (Just FYI). I am still trying to decide whether to keep the nude Boutique 9 heeled oxfords, and now a new pair of shoes arrived - Me Too Davita pumps in red. These were also on sale ($44). #1 is WIW today in the first pic, with red shoes added later, and then a skirt with red shoes. #2 is trying out various shoes - red pumps first, then Boutique 9, then Cole Haan wedges that I currently own. #3 is a "shoe family portrait" for comparison. I am on the fence - I like the heel of the oxfords and the color of the red pumps. Also unsure about the leather-covered sole of the pumps - not a big fan of this look and not sure about how "current" it is. Perhaps the best solution is to return both red shoes and Boutique 9, and wait for red pumps or sling backs with a higher heel, like Boutique 9. Any thoughts? In any case, this has been fun, I loved taking pictures with the red shoes.
