I was very picky about fit, though. The sleeves had to be fitted but not constricting (see what Janet said about her moto with tight arms!) and it had to be streamlined -- i.e. no heavy, flappy collar or over-the-top hardware. Also, it fits perfectly across the shoulders and chest. But I've figured out my black jackets had either very specific uses (very cropped length only works well with certain outfits) or had fit or style issues (one had tight arms that always drove me nuts so I sold it). A blazer would also work if you wear those. I don't really think of motos as a proper outer layer; I have one heavier moto which I bought for that purpose that rarely gets worn, whereas the lighter pairs get a ton of wear with a heavier coat overtop (or no coat if it's warmer out).
